Did you know?

Even after treatment, some people with Lyme disease continue to experience symptoms for months.

Key Facts About Lyme Disease

Lyme disease is caused by a bacterial infection transmitted through tick bites, often leading to fever, fatigue, and a unique rash. If not treated early, the infection can affect joints, the heart, or the nervous system, resulting in more complex health issues. Some people continue to feel unwell even after completing antibiotics, with symptoms like joint pain or brain fog. This ongoing condition is sometimes called post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome.

Triggers for lingering symptoms may include immune system changes or persistent inflammation. Managing these effects often requires a mix of medical care, lifestyle adjustments, and supportive therapies. Staying hydrated, eating well, and seeking additional support can help manage daily challenges. Early diagnosis and ongoing attention are important for long-term health.

Common Symptoms of Lyme Disease

A person with early Lyme disease might notice flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, and tiredness. A round rash at the bite site is a classic sign but does not appear in every case. Muscle aches and swollen lymph nodes can also develop. These symptoms may show up days or weeks after a tick bite.

If the infection is not treated promptly, it can spread and cause joint pain, especially in large joints like the knees. Some people develop neurological symptoms, including numbness or facial weakness. Heart rhythm changes are possible but less common. These complications may arise weeks or even months later.

Even after treatment, some individuals experience ongoing fatigue, memory problems, or mood changes. This is known as post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome and can last for months. Persistent joint discomfort and cognitive fog are frequent complaints. Managing these symptoms often involves a combination of medical and supportive care.

Traditional Treatments

Antibiotics are the main treatment for Lyme disease and work best when started early. Early intervention can help prevent the infection from spreading to other parts of the body. Additional medications may be used to manage specific symptoms, such as pain or inflammation. Ongoing follow-up is important to monitor progress and address any lasting issues.

For those who continue to have symptoms after antibiotics, supportive therapies may be recommended. These can include physical therapy, dietary changes, and strategies to manage fatigue or joint pain. Some people consider adjunctive options like IV nutrient therapy to help with energy and immune support. It is important to work with healthcare providers to create a plan that fits your individual needs.

As part of my preparation for Guinness World Record Battle ropes longest time, hydration is a major part of my preparation. I called and told the staff. They were welcoming, took the time to review my health history, informed me on the best IV options and recommended the All Star IV, which I will recommend to any athlete. My nurse was patient, detailed oriented and made me feel safe and at home. I highly recommend this location for you wellness needs. This place is a hidden gem. I also got the Elite membership and it's was a no brainer for me. I highly recommend this wellness location.

This was the first time I have gone for a vitamin IV therapy and I have to say it was an exceptional. From check in to check out, the staff made me feel comfortable, welcome and safe. The entire experience was 100% top notch and I feel so much better! Maria explained everything clearly and answered all my questions (she was super nice and caring as well). The facility was spotless and it gave a very calm vibe which I needed after a difficult family emergency. Care, comfort and well being ... thank you all so much for making me feel better both physically and mentally!

I absolutely love The DRIPBaR in Scottsdale. I've been a member for a while now and come in monthly for NAD therapy, which has helped me so much with my fibromyalgia. I genuinely notice a difference in how I feel after my treatments. I also really appreciate the monthly membership perks, especially being able to use the LED light therapy with salt, it's incredibly relaxing and a great added bonus. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The owner is very kind as well. I came in this morning and she personally helped m heck in, which made the experience feel more personal and caring. Highly recommend The DRIPBaR Scottsdale if you're looking for quality treatments, a supportive team, and a clean, calming environment.

I have been a 'regular' at this bar for just over 2 years and find the staff, product, and prices awesome. I am considered a hard stick (deep veins) and Maria has no problem stabbing me with the go go juice first try. The staff is friendly and I have referred several people there who love them. Good job y'all.

I have been going to Drip Bar since they opened. I have had several different drips, all of which have been exactly what I needed at the time. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to explain all the benefits related to my specific needs. I have the utmost trust in them and have referred many friends who have had substantial health issues. They are grateful to have found a place where they can discuss their needs and have professional guidance. I extend a sincere "Thank you" to Kelly, Maria and Sarah for all you do for me, my family and friends.
