Did you know?

The first three days of cold and flu symptoms are when you are most contagious, so early care is especially important.

Understanding Cold and Flu Basics

Cold and flu are both viral infections that affect the respiratory system, but they differ in how quickly symptoms appear and how severe they become. The common cold usually develops gradually with milder symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and mild tiredness. The flu, on the other hand, often starts suddenly and can cause high fever, chills, body aches, and pronounced fatigue. Both illnesses are spread through droplets in the air or by touching contaminated surfaces.

Triggers include close contact with sick individuals, crowded environments, and weakened immune defenses. Managing cold and flu involves rest, staying hydrated, and using over-the-counter remedies as needed. Preventive steps such as frequent handwashing and immune support can help reduce your risk. Seeking care early may help shorten the duration and severity of symptoms.

Common Symptoms of Cold & Flu

Early signs of cold and flu often include a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, and a scratchy throat. Mild fatigue and a low-grade fever may also develop, with symptoms building gradually over several days. These symptoms can last up to a week and may vary in intensity depending on the individual.

Flu symptoms tend to appear more abruptly and are usually more severe than those of a cold. High fever, chills, muscle aches, and headaches are common, along with a dry cough and pronounced tiredness. Some people also experience sore throat, congestion, and sensitivity to light or sound, which can make daily activities challenging.

After the main illness passes, lingering symptoms such as cough, brain fog, or low energy may persist. Children, older adults, and those with chronic health conditions are at higher risk for complications. Monitoring your symptoms and allowing time for recovery is important. If symptoms worsen or do not improve, consult a healthcare provider for guidance.

Traditional Treatments

Traditional treatment for cold and flu focuses on relieving symptoms and supporting your body’s natural recovery. This often involves rest, drinking plenty of fluids, and using over-the-counter medications to manage fever, congestion, or discomfort. Warm teas, throat lozenges, and humidifiers can also help ease symptoms and promote comfort.

In some cases, antiviral medications may be prescribed for the flu, especially if started early in the illness. Preventive strategies like handwashing, avoiding close contact with sick individuals, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help reduce your risk. For those with ongoing or severe symptoms, additional support such as hydration therapy or immune-boosting nutrients may be considered. Always consult a healthcare provider if you have concerns about your symptoms or recovery process.

As part of my preparation for Guinness World Record Battle ropes longest time, hydration is a major part of my preparation. I called and told the staff. They were welcoming, took the time to review my health history, informed me on the best IV options and recommended the All Star IV, which I will recommend to any athlete. My nurse was patient, detailed oriented and made me feel safe and at home. I highly recommend this location for you wellness needs. This place is a hidden gem. I also got the Elite membership and it's was a no brainer for me. I highly recommend this wellness location.

This was the first time I have gone for a vitamin IV therapy and I have to say it was an exceptional. From check in to check out, the staff made me feel comfortable, welcome and safe. The entire experience was 100% top notch and I feel so much better! Maria explained everything clearly and answered all my questions (she was super nice and caring as well). The facility was spotless and it gave a very calm vibe which I needed after a difficult family emergency. Care, comfort and well being ... thank you all so much for making me feel better both physically and mentally!

I absolutely love The DRIPBaR in Scottsdale. I've been a member for a while now and come in monthly for NAD therapy, which has helped me so much with my fibromyalgia. I genuinely notice a difference in how I feel after my treatments. I also really appreciate the monthly membership perks, especially being able to use the LED light therapy with salt, it's incredibly relaxing and a great added bonus. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The owner is very kind as well. I came in this morning and she personally helped m heck in, which made the experience feel more personal and caring. Highly recommend The DRIPBaR Scottsdale if you're looking for quality treatments, a supportive team, and a clean, calming environment.

I have been a 'regular' at this bar for just over 2 years and find the staff, product, and prices awesome. I am considered a hard stick (deep veins) and Maria has no problem stabbing me with the go go juice first try. The staff is friendly and I have referred several people there who love them. Good job y'all.

I have been going to Drip Bar since they opened. I have had several different drips, all of which have been exactly what I needed at the time. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to explain all the benefits related to my specific needs. I have the utmost trust in them and have referred many friends who have had substantial health issues. They are grateful to have found a place where they can discuss their needs and have professional guidance. I extend a sincere "Thank you" to Kelly, Maria and Sarah for all you do for me, my family and friends.
